Cheesecake, ramen, and science!

There was lots of activity at Charles H. Kim Elementary right before we headed into the Thanksgiving recess! We did very well with our annual cheesecake drive–pulling in almost $19,000. (We kept about one-third).

Nongshim America graciously donated 200 boxes of their premium Shin Black ramen. The proceeds from the sale of this product will certainly help in our fundraising efforts this year. We’re grateful for this partnership! Pictured here with Nongshim’s mascot are Principal Kehrley and Ms. Amy Kim’s Kindergarten class.

Coordinator Mario Loeza organized a 5th grade science fair in the multi-purpose room. All the students and teachers in the school were allowed to vote for their favorite entries, and ribbons were presented to the winners in a special ceremony. This was the first science fair ever to be held at the school, and we look forward to many more!
